Thank You Sharks

Dear Santiago Aquatics Family,

It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter, but after 5 amazing years of working with the most wonderful and talented kids and families here at Santiago, I have decided to take an assistant principal position within the Huntington Beach Union High School District. While this is not an easy decision to make, I feel as though it is the best decision for my family and my career in education.

We have done so many great things together over the years. We have won 10 Big VIII league Championships, won countless invitationals including the largest one on the west coast, went to Montana where everyone survived, and have competed at the very top level of CIF as individuals and members of All American Relays. Our program has been recognized as one of the top academic programs in Riverside county and our kids have earned awards for their outstanding leadership by the school and district again and again. I could go on and on because I firmly believe that our kids are the very best. With that said, I know that the future of the team is bright because it has always been you Sharks that have, “made it happen”.

It takes a lot to be a swimmer at Santiago, so I want to say thank you to the swimmers for their commitment and hard work. I want to say thank you to the parents for all your support and allowing the coaching staff to help in the development of your child. Lastly I have to thank the administration here at Santiago for all their support of the aquatics program over the years.

Saying goodbye to amazing people that have had an impact on your life is always challenging, so instead I would like to say thank you one last time. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this team and the Shark Family.
Go Sharks!

Coach White
